¿SUSTAINABLE? ENOUGH builds on the success of last year’s ¿SUSTAINABLE? online symposia. During the fall of 2026, in the course of three online events, a total of 9 critical talks will be delivered by 3 guests per symposium, each offering critical perspectives on the challenges of pursuing sustainability in the field of landscape architecture. Speaker’s talks will highlight projects, practices, and processes that she/he considers sustainable and unsustainable, which is to say, instances of best and worst practices.- Time

Landscapes and Communities
Building on the succes of this past spring’s conversations critically interrogated the meanings, contradictions, and claims surrounding sustainability within the architectural field, ¿SUSTAINABLE? ENOUGH narrows its focus to landscapes and communities, posing the follow-up question: what is enough? and what is enough for whom?
The symposium series is curated and moderated by Raffaella Colombo, visiting researcher at metaLAB (at) Harvard. It is structured around three symposia entitled: gather –land, resources and relations–, care –landscapes and ways of living– and share _–new communities and collective futures _. The series explores how resources are gathered and negotiated, how landscapes are inhabited and cared for, and how new forms of community life might emerge. Moving across human and more-than-human communities, it explores forms of coexistence, reciprocity, responsibility, and belonging, and considers how more generous and collective futures might begin to take shape.
