Marcos Mayo-Cubero is a professor of journalism at the Complutense University of Madrid. In 2024 summer, he is conducting research at Harvard as a fellow at the RCC, designing a course on AI and journalistic writing focusing on ethics. He holds a Ph.D. in communication studies from the Complutense and is the former director of the MA in TV Journalism-Antena 3. His research focuses on journalism, AI, mis/disinformation, and crisis communication. He has served as an expert evaluator for the European Commission and was a research fellow for the H2020 Mediatized EU project. With over twelve years of experience as a news TV reporter specializing in politics and economics, he worked on major corruption cases like the ‘Panama Papers.’ A loyal Atlético de Madrid fan, he still dreams of winning his first Champions League.
