Hiteshree Das
Researcher
Hiteshree Das is a designer, researcher, and interdisciplinary artist whose practice spans civic innovation, storytelling and just-systems design. She holds a Master’s in Design Studies from the Harvard Graduate School of Design. At metaLAB (at) Harvard, she contributed to the AI Personality Study, helped shape the communication strategy for the Data|Art Symposium, and supported several arts- and humanities-focused events hosted by the lab.
Over the years, she has also collaborated with medical researchers and environmental policy planners, to translate scientific and policy research into visual and immersive artifacts for philanthropists, city governments, and development organizations—often in contexts where art is rarely used as a tool for provocation or deliberation.
By challenging conventional approaches to art and development practices, Hiteshree creates narrative environments and curates participatory public programming that shift policy conversations and expand civic imagination. Her work extends beyond traditional exhibition spaces into key decision-making institutions, where it catalyzes dialogue and action.
Hiteshree’s projects have been showcased at Harvard’s Center for Government and International Studies, the Clinton Global Initiative in New York, the World Bank Headquarters in Washington, D.C., and the International Labour Organization in Geneva. She has also contributed to projects featured at major cultural platforms such as the Venice Architectural Biennale, the Kochi-Muziris Biennale, and the Architectural Digest Design Show in Mumbai.
